Jacques
Brel's life was a great adventure. As an eccentric, author, composer,
performer, actor and director, Brel lived intensely, following his
feelings, his rebellions and his passions. His songs were stories,
pictures, living tales of success, failures, adventures, friendship,
dreams, disillusions, heartaches, pain, and they serve today as a
gentle reminder of the potential in all of us.
In
2009, “Jacques Brel – Rough Diamond” will tour Northern Europe, to commemorate what would have been Brel's 80th birthday.
